Apple Business (formerly Apple Business Connect) Verification Stuck or Not Verified? What to Do Next

Business listings on Apple Maps and other map apps kept consistent while Apple Business verification is pending

Short answer

Why is my Apple Business verification stuck, and what should you do?

Apple says organization verification needs two methods and can take up to five business days, longer when volume is high. Most stalls are a missing second method, details that don’t match, or Apple failing to reach your contact. Check which step is pending, fix the mismatch, and contact Apple Business support before your 60-day window closes.

Apple decides who is verified. Nobody outside Apple can push a verification through faster.

What is stuck

Which part is stuck: your organization or a location?

Apple Business, which replaced Apple Business Connect in April 2026 according to Apple’s announcement, verifies two different things. Work out which one is waiting before you change anything:

What is waitingWhat Apple saysWhat to do
Organization verificationNeeds two verification methods and can take up to five business days; more time may be needed when volume is high. You have 60 days after signing up.Confirm both methods were submitted under Settings, then Organization, and that the contact Apple has can be reached.
Location phone verificationMay be available if the location already exists on Maps. Apple calls the number it has on record and you enter a four-digit code.Answer the number Apple shows. If you don’t recognize it, contact Apple Business support.
Location transferA request to manage a location someone else manages can take up to five business days to review.Attach proof such as a business license or utility bill, then wait out the review.

If this is your first location and your organization isn’t verified yet, Apple says you must verify the organization and send it for review before the location can go live.

Timing

How long does Apple Business verification take?

Apple’s help page on signing up for Apple Business says organization verification “can take up to five business days to complete”, that it can take multiple business days depending on application volume and whether Apple can reach your contact, and that during periods of high volume additional time may be necessary.

For locations, Apple’s own onboarding guide calls phone verification the fastest path to publishing a location, while document verification goes through a review with no stated length. A transfer request can take up to five business days. Apple publishes no way to speed any of these up.

Organization

Why is my Apple Business organization not verified?

Apple doesn’t list rejection reasons on these pages. These are the points its sign-up guidance makes that we check first:

  • Only one method was sent. Apple requires two: a business ID (D-U-N-S Number or EIN), domain validation with a DNS TXT record, App Store Connect, or an official document.
  • The documents don’t match. Use a license, sales tax permit, lease or utility bill showing the same legal business name you signed up with.
  • Apple can’t reach your contact. Apple says this affects how long verification takes. Use a phone and email someone actually watches.
  • Apple’s emails are filtered. Apple asks you to allow mail from all apple.com domains so verification emails get through.
  • The domain is taken. If another organization has already verified your email domain, Apple says you can’t use it for your administrator account.
  • The wrong user submitted. Verification must come from a user whose role permits it, and sign-up names must be a legal personal name, not a job title.
  • An agency used App Store Connect. Apple says that method isn’t available to third-party partners or agencies.
Phone call

Why didn’t Apple’s verification call work?

Apple’s guide to adding a location says phone verification may be available only if the location already exists on Maps, and that Apple calls the phone number it has on record for that location. If that is an old number, the call goes to whoever has it now.

You can add an extension before the call. When it comes, enter the four-digit code and select Done. If you don’t recognize the number shown, Apple says to contact Apple Business support rather than keep retrying; verifying your organization with documents is the other route.

Transfers

What if someone else already manages your location?

Apple lets you request a transfer of location management. Explain why it should move to you, add supporting documentation such as a business license or utility bill, and select Send for Review. Apple says the review can take up to five business days.

Before you send it, make sure the name, address and phone on your website and main listings match what you are claiming, so the evidence agrees with itself. Our citation building work covers that cleanup.

Not approved

What happens if Apple doesn’t approve it?

Apple’s brand claim guide says that when document verification is not approved, the location is rejected and the brand becomes inactive. At organization level, Apple says that if your organization isn’t approved during the 60-day verification window, the organization, its data and its Managed Apple Accounts are deleted.

Apple’s pages describe no appeal form. Fix the cause you can see, such as a missing second method or a mismatched document, resubmit, and contact Apple Business support with your organization details if it still stalls. Don’t open a second organization for the same business while the first is pending.

Support

How do you contact Apple Business support?

Apple’s support page gives the route: sign in to Apple Business, select your account icon (your initials), then select Support. From there you can find the phone number for your country or region, or enter the requested information and select Send.

Have your organization name, the D-U-N-S Number or EIN you used, the date you submitted verification and screenshots of the status ready. If your Google profile has a verification problem too, that is a separate process; see our Google Business verification help.

How we fix it

How does GMB Experts help with Apple Business verification?

  1. Free diagnosis. We work out whether the organization, a location or a transfer is waiting, and why.
  2. Two clean methods. Business ID, DNS record or documents prepared so the legal name matches everywhere.
  3. Matching listings. Name, address and phone aligned with your Google profile and main directories before Apple looks.
  4. You submit, with us on WhatsApp. Apple needs an authorized user in your organization, and its call goes to your business number.
  5. A straight answer. If Apple won’t verify the business as it stands, we tell you why rather than resubmit the same thing.

Once you are verified, our Apple Business and Bing Places setup keeps the listing in line with Google.

FAQ

Apple Business verification: common questions

How long does Apple Business verification take?

Apple says organization verification requires two methods and can take up to five business days, and that during periods of high volume additional time may be necessary. A request to take over a location someone else manages can also take up to five business days to review.

What can I use to verify my organization with Apple Business?

Apple asks for two of these: a business ID (a D-U-N-S Number or an EIN), domain validation with a DNS TXT record, an app in App Store Connect, or an official document such as a business license, sales tax permit, lease or utility bill. App Store Connect is not available to agencies or third-party partners.

What happens if my organization isn't verified within 60 days?

Apple says you have 60 days after signing up to verify your organization. If it isn't approved during that window, Apple deletes the organization, its data and its Managed Apple Accounts, so submit both verification methods as soon as you sign up.

Why didn't I get Apple's verification phone call?

Phone verification is offered only when the location already exists on Maps, and Apple calls the number it has on record for that location, which may be an old one. If you don't recognize the number shown, Apple says to contact Apple Business support instead.

Is Apple Business the same as Apple Business Connect?

Yes. Apple renamed Apple Business Connect to Apple Business in April 2026 and combined it with Apple Business Manager and Apple Business Essentials. Location claims, place cards and verification now happen in Apple Business.

Can you verify my Apple Business account for me?

No. Apple requires a user with the right role in your organization to submit verification, and its phone call goes to the business number. We prepare the documents, the domain record and the location details, check them against your other listings, and stay with you on WhatsApp while you submit.

Updated 9 October 2026. Verification methods, timings, the 60-day window, phone verification, transfers and support are described from Apple’s Apple Business User Guide pages (sign up for Apple Business, add a single location, get support) and the Apple Business onboarding guide (brand claim process) as they read on 9 October 2026. The rename is from Apple Newsroom, March 2026.
