- Is your profile verified? Go to business.google.com. If it shows "Pending verification" or "Suspended", that's your answer. Profiles in either state cannot rank.
- Does your primary category match your target query? Search your target keyword in Google Maps. Click the top 3 ranked profiles , check their primary category. If yours is different, change it.
- Are you searching from inside your service area? Map Pack rankings are partially proximity-based. Search from a different location 1-2 miles away to test.

How do I fix a Google Business Profile that is not showing up?
How to fix it
If verified and not suspended, try searching from inside your service area on a different device. If still invisible, the issue is category or recent edits.
If the profile shows a closed label instead of disappearing, follow the permanently closed label fix instead.
For unverified: complete verification immediately. For suspended: file reinstatement. For wrong category: re-research against top competitors. For address mismatch: edit to match official records.
If you've tried all of the above and still invisible, it's a soft penalty or edge case.
How to prevent this
Verify your profile fully before promoting it. Don't make rapid sequential edits. Use a real address (not virtual). Pick the most specific primary category. Avoid keyword stuffing in business name.
