A suspended plumbing profile drops emergency calls immediately. GMB Experts USA reinstates Google Business Profiles for US plumbers: we remove emergency keywords from the name, hide addresses that are not shops, keep drain and sewer work on one listing, and file the appeal with the plumbing license.

TL;DR (23 Sep 2026): One plumbing company, one profile. Emergency and city words stay out of the name. Hide the address unless you have a shop. If Local Services Ads died too, check whether the ad account or the profile was suspended.
| Check | What to do |
|---|---|
| Name includes Emergency, 24/7, or a city | Use the name on the license and the truck. Put emergency plumbing in services, not the name. |
| The pin is a house or a unit nobody visits | Switch to a service-area business before the appeal. |
| Drain, sewer, and water heater each have a listing | Those are services. Keep one canonical profile. |
| License is a handyman or general contractor only | The primary category has to match the plumbing license you can show. |
| Calls from ads stopped the same day | Separate a Business Profile suspension from an LSA suspension. They are filed differently. |
Plumber suspensions look like lead-gen spam even when the company is licensed. GMB Experts USA checks the name, the address type, the service list, and any extra city listings, then appeals with the plumbing license. This is not the HVAC page with the trade swapped: plumbing adds license-scope problems and a direct tie to Local Services Ads.
Why plumbers get flagged1. An emergency name. "24 Hour Emergency Plumber" is a search phrase, not a business name. Google's name rule is the same as for every other category, and this trade is checked often.
2. A house pin. If the video or a drive-by shows a residence, the storefront claim fails. Hide the address.
3. Service categories beyond the license. Sewer, gas, and backflow can be legitimate services. They are not a reason to open another profile, and they are not allowed if the license does not cover them.
4. Listings bought or built by a call center. Profiles created to forward calls, with no local crew, are deceptive content. We will not appeal those.
5. A duplicate left over from an old DBA. A previous owner, a rebrand, or a marketing agency's second listing splits the reviews and can suspend both.
6. LSA and the profile disagree. The business name, license, and service area on Local Services Ads have to match the Business Profile. A mismatch can take one or both down.
First step: Confirm you have a shop, or that you do not
Evidence: Plumbing license, insurance, truck photos
Not a fit: Call-center listings with no local crew
Cost: Request a quote after the free diagnosis
Goal: One licensed profile and, if needed, a clean LSA link
Diagnosis. Subject line PLUMBER. Tell us the license name, whether there is a customer-facing shop, and every Google listing you or an agency created.
Repair the profile. Legal name, address hidden when required, services written as drain, water heater, or sewer instead of extra listings, and the service area limited to real drive time.
Appeal with the license. State plumbing license and insurance in the same name. Photos of the truck and, if you have one, the shop sign.
Check ads separately. If the Google Guaranteed or Google Verified badge is gone but the Maps listing is still up, that is the LSA path, not this one.
Included: a live results dashboard for every client — the same pages we publish for the businesses we own.
Plumbing combines emergency-keyword names, a home address shown as a shop, and service categories that go beyond the license. Google also watches duplicate city listings in this trade.
Plumbing is not the same category, but the abuse pattern is similar: keyword names, hidden businesses, and listings that exist to collect calls. Legitimate plumbers get caught when their profile looks like that pattern.
Yes, if customers do not come to you. Show the address only for a staffed shop with posted hours. A house, a storage unit, or a PO box should not be on the map.
No. Those belong in services and secondary categories on one profile, if the license covers them. A second listing for drain cleaning is a duplicate.
It can. Plumbing is a core Local Services category, and the ad account is tied to the Business Profile. If only the ads are down, use the LSA suspension page.
State plumbing license, insurance, the legal business name, whether you have a shop customers can visit, and the cities you will actually drive to.
